Magnificent Buddha Bust in wood, presenting a tall headdress, from the Shan period, late 17th century, Burma
35 cm high, including the stand, this Buddha was carved in Teak wood and finished off with red lacquer.
Very serene face, the lobe is slightly wavy and drooping, a finely carved mouth, a very thin nose, beautiful details, craftsmanship which perfectly represents the Shan period.
With a few lacks, breaks and cracks...
