Beautiful and large antique earthenware pot from the Ayuttaya culture in Thailand.
Dimensions: height 16.5 cm and width 16.8 cm, weight 1133 grams.
This particular copy is a fine example of pottery/earthenware of Ayuttaya culture. The pot is extensively decorated all around and has a convex belly, flat decorated bottom and a wide neck with a wide folded lip There is some impact damage to the edge and a significant damage at the bottom of the pot that extends to the side (see photos). Otherwise the item is in good condition and intact.
The seller can prove that the lot has been obtained legally. Bought in 2020 at a Dutch art and antique auction, auction house Van Zadelhoff lot number 456. Previous provenance: from an old Dutch private collection ('s-Gravenhage), more information at auction house. No export license is required for shipping within the EU.
