Chet Baker, who was born in Yale on December 23, 1929 and died in Amsterdam on May 13, 1988, was an American jazz trumpeter, bugler, and singer-crooner.

His favourite themes, treated in black and white film, are: Jazz, Travel (Cuba, Brazil, Colombia, Mali, Kenya, Japan...), portraits and women. Before dedicating himself mainly to photography, he directed numerous music videos (Ray Charles, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Barbara, Étienne Daho,...) and documentaries often around music and notably Chet Baker. Bertrand Fèvre recently published a boxed book "My Romance with Chet" (ed. Jazz&Co).
