DESCRIPTION
Panel in hardwood which was formerly placed on top of a loom. Many families in Burma own a loom, enabling women to have additional income. Since this one was placed inside of the house, the pediment was sometimes decorated, like it is the case here.
Lovely sculpture, it also presents a bird.
Decorative object which could, for example, be a decoration above the door.
Region of Bagan, around the early 20th century.
125 cm long for 37 cm wide.
CONDITION:
Good condition, but it presents traces related to its age and use (have a look at the pictures).
It will be carefully packaged and sent by insured mail with track & trace via Bpost.
