Offered, is this unusual AGILUX 'Agima' 35mm Rangefinder camera. Manufactured by Agilux in England, from 1962, the company were noted for their innovative camera designs. The company were/are also noted for their aeronautical optical instruments. The Agima on offer comes in very good cosmetic condition, with only slight evidence of age/use. The rangefinder needs adjustment. The camera has a unique lever, which winds the film, primes and actuates the shutter with only two depressions. The 10-speed shutter works, but is very slow, improving with use. Internally, the film transport has a pressure-plate to guarantee the film is flat to the lens plane. The Agilux f2.8 45mm lens is clear and focuses smoothly. An unusual and unique camera with lots of potential, at 60 years of age.
