Buchheim used this poster when he advertised his posters.
His experiences aboard a submarine in the 2nd World War resulted in a book called ‘Das Boot’ that was later made into a movie.
His collection of German expressionist prints resulted in a museum called the Museum of Phantasie, in Bernried.
His artistic formation led to this poster, which was published by his eponymous publishing house.
