This poster is probably the most interesting post-war Dutch poster. Either way; the imagery in any case shows a summary of the youth culture of the time.
The poster is actually an enlargement of a section of a negative of a few centimetres in size from a series of photos shot in the pasture with other poses. On the negative there’s also another cow.
The woman on the poster is Saskia Holleman (1945-2013), who was a dancer for the Schleswig revue in Carré at the time. She would later start a career as a lawyer. The photo was originally intended for the magazine Sekstant of the N.V.S.H.
