Beautiful bust of Beethoven in green patinated spelter, on a brown marble base. Signed sculpture by the illustrious Gaston Leroux. Very sought after and especially in excellent condition. Length: 15 cm. Width: 20 cm. Height: 35 cm Gaston Veunevot was born on 14 September 1854 in the 2nd arrondissement of Paris. He is of unknown father and son of Julia Veunevot, milliner, aged 21, from Proussy (Calvados). Shortly after his birth, his mother met a certain Hirschfeld, a member of the French diplomatic corps, and moved with him to Vienna, Austria. Gaston Veunevot was raised by his maternal grandparents, Parisians by adoption, restaurateur at rue des Bons-Enfants. In gratitude to his maternal grandmother, Louise, née Leroux, he adopted his name as a pseudonym. Careful shipping by registered Colissimo or equivalent.
