Yoroi - Samurai - Armatura laccata nera tutta coordinata decorata con lo stemma Oda in lacca maki dorata

An iron and black lacquered suit-of-armour with white and dark blue cords and a vermillion hem (kuro’urushunuri hisuso nimaidō gusoku). An eight plate sujikabuto-helmet with in front between the connected kuwagata-antlers a round five petal melon-flower crest maedate (the crest is the mokkō-crest of warlord Oda Nobunaga known as Oda mokkō mon). The helmet is partly decorated with “smoked leather”. The helmet has three shikoro neck-guards with black cords and a red hem. An iron facial mask with separate noose piece and a white moustache resembles the face of an old man (resseibō). From the mask hangs a four part nodowa-gorget.
Large eight part sode with greenish tassels protect the shoulders and shinokote with Japanese mail and vertical metal strips over bright coloured brocade the arms.
A two piece bucket shaped cuirass (yokohagi nimaidō) decorated with a band of “smoked leather” and a large gold makie-lacquer Oda melon crest. The cuirass has in front two faded orange tassels. From the cuirass hangs a kusazuri-skirt in six five-piece parts. Large cuisses (haidate) with above light coloured brocade and below laced small black metal karuta-plates protect the upper legs. Tubular laced metal pieces protect the lower legs (dōsuneate). With a multicoloured brocade waist-band. In a box for a suit-of-armour (yoroibako) decorated with the Oda crest in gold makie-lacquer.
