Very Lovely Kora Mandinka or Kamélé N’Gomi (little borther of the Kora) instrument, listed among musical instruments categorised as lutes or harp-lutes.
Instrument with 8 strings, made of cow leather, wood and ornaments of multiple cowry shells.
Very nice sound.
Period: around 1940 - Gabon
Impeccable state, very well-preserved - Without repair - everything is of origin, and the sound is lovely.
The Kamélé N’Gomi appellation (little brother of the Kora) is listed among musical instruments such as Lutes or Harp-Lutes.
This instrument, which initially comes from Gabon, is a hunters’ instrument, it would accompany the singer’s voice.
The Kamélé N’Gomi has between 6 and 12 strings, tuned in pentatonic, all the notes sound in tune with each other.
