Lacking letterpress title, occasional spotting and staining .
Modern half vellum by Ennio Torri, new endpapers. good condition otherwise.
Complete of 51 wood cuts - 1st work 44 plates - 2nd plate bis, and plate n 3 a very good facsimiles, while the 2nd work by Gio. Scala is with a further 7 plates.
VI edition (1st in Roma, Paulini 1599) of this important work of the expositions of Euclidean Geometry and its practical applications, being very in demand at the time of G. Pomodoro, Venetian astronomer e mathematician (XVI c.). "La geometria pratica del Pomodoro con le aggiunte dello Scala è un trattato d'agrimensura che trovo assai ben fatto" (Riccardi).
Scala (1547-1599), matematician, military engineer and architect from Friuli expanding Pomodoro's work. Same plates misbounds but complete and all present.
