Rosary in yellow gold with 19.2 ct from the 19th century. Handmade by a Portuguese goldsmith between 1880 and 1890.
Composed of 53 plain hollow spherical beads and 6 Viana beads (4 of them, separate each of the 5 dozen plain beads, the 5th is below the medal and the 6th is above the crucifix). It also includes the medal of Our Lady and the crucifix with Jesus in relief.
Assay office mark: Tiger head II (Gold certification; .800, 19.2 ct)
Length: 30 cm.
Weight: 7.4 g.
Condition: Excellent, small use, slight signs of wear, considering its age.
Note: Viana beads are hollow golden spheres, and are distinguished by the filigree threads placed in a circle, with 1 small dot in the centre.
