It is very rare to find any of these Han horse figures with this white color and such nice original pigment on the back of the horse. Extremely rare. Most of this type of horses have not the fine pigment on the back!!!

Grey earthenware coated with white slip and remains of white, black and brick-red pigment.
Western Han Dynasty ( 206 B.C. – 220 A.D.)
High 58,5 cm., wide 57 cm.
The solidly built horse standing foursquare with head tiled upwards, the eyes alert, ears pricked and mouth agape, short ducked tail, painted overall with brick-red pigment.
