A beautiful antique French pocket mirror. A finely crafted and designed piece showing the influence of Art Nouveau with flower decoration, mixed with Louis XV rocaille decoration. These pocket mirrors were very fashionable and could be carried on a chain in purses or hanging from the belt. Made by Lafilolie & Bertrand in Paris ca. 1902-1904 who had a fashionable shop close to the Luxembourg Gardens. Hallmarked with the boar head and Lafilolie & Bertrand's master silversmith hallmark (L&B with a shepherd's crook). Closed: 6 X 3,5 cm 27 gram Overall very good condition with a small knock on the rocaille cartouche. The mirrors are both original with bevelled edges. A beautiful collector's piece or original piece of accessory.
