Beautiful 1960s Mido Ocean Star Powerwind. This watch is called Ocean Star because of the waterproof monocoque (in one piece) watch case. The watch is 34 mm without the original signed crown. The case has minimal signs of wear for its age of more than 50 years, some small scratches allover. Probably unpolished, sharp corners. The dial has a magnificent sunburst finish and luxurious appearance due to the date aperture and glittering markers. The luminous material on the hands and dial has discoloured beautifully and has faded in some places. The timepiece presumably is a Mido 11470C. Winds automatically and keeps running. Can also be wound by hand. The date changes neatly around 00:00. Accuracy and maintenance history unknown. Strap and clasp are fairly worn. Advice is to replace it according to your taste.
