Winchester 1866 MUSKET, cal 44 . serial 38710, built in 1870.
Standard configuration for a musket.
Adress is light but fully visible, barrel has no blue left and has light brown rust spots, magazine has 60 % of the blue turned dull. frame is excellent, very sharp, bore is almost perfect, this one has hardly ever been shot, but was stored poorly.
Original sights present and works super. Stock has been lightly sanded and recoloured.
Still a desirable nice 1866.
