Manoscritto pieghevole di arte popolare birmana (1) - Carta di legno - Birmania / Myanmar - 1950-1970

Coming up for sale is an old Burmese folded manuscript! The object is approx. 17 x 8 cm and when it is unfolded, it is about 175 cm long! It has a wooden cover on the top and bottom. On the dipped thick paper, various motifs have been painted on the front and back with watercolours and there is some Burmese script on it. Unfortunately, I can’t translate it or work it out. The manuscript has signs of age and wear and tear and minor damage. A rare piece of Asian folk art.
