Old advertising poster (1890s) for the ‘Cycles Michaux’ bicycles.
The ‘Cycles Michaux’ bicycles have a very high historical importance, since in the Michaux family, Pierre, the father, and his son Ernest simply invented the velocipede and the pedal.
Henry, one of Peter's four sons, developed the ‘Cycles Michaux’ brand.

The poster was printed in lithographic technique and is in fairly good condition after a slight restoration. There are a lot of little tears on all edges. All tears were reinforced with pH neutral Japan paper (reversible repairs), see the last picture of the front side to see the repairs made.
The poster had been folded in 4the , tears appeared on the folds. There are 2 small tears in the bottom right edge with missing ones.
The paper is torn with missing pieces in the bottom left corner.
Shipped via Colissimo in a cardboard tube.
