This 16th century sheet is from a Latin book of prayers printed ca. 1510 in France.
Before 1497, books of hours were handwritten. This is a page from a printed book.
A page made of vellum (thin parchment - animal skin) with wonderful hand decorated initials. This concerns a unique piece from the 16th century.
Condition: although more than five hundred years old, still in reasonable to good condition, some browning of the parchment and it has some brown stains. Elements that determine the value: its rarity, quality, age and attractiveness. This is a masterpiece in any serious collection.
