Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, was born on June 29th, 1900 in Lyon and disappeared while flying over at sea off the coast of Marseille on July 31st, 1944, he died for France; he was a French writer, poet, aviator and reporter. From 1932 onwards Saint-Exupéry devoted himself to journalism and air raids. His international reporting from Vietnam in 1934, Moscow in 1935, and Spain in 1936, influenced his reflections on humanistic values. Terre des hommes, published in 1939, received the Grand Prix of the Académie Française.
