A blue / white nanking plate with papers, a hairline and baking error, otherwise in good condition.
Chinese 18th century porcelain plate with certificate of authenticity, plate in good condition. Dimensions 24 x24 cm.
There is an oven mark visible on the left.
This has no impact on the quality of the plate.
A piece of history on this porcelain plate. It was sold at the Christies auction in London in the historic Harrolds store.
This plate type is called Nanking charge, made in the famous Jingdezhen ovens.
It was accidentally sunk to the bottom of the South China Sea during transport by ship, because it hit a rock and sank.
