A piece of history on this porcelain plate. It was sold at the Christies auction in London in the historic Harrolds store.
This plate type is called Nanking charge, made in the famous Jingdezhen ovens.
It was accidentally sunk to the bottom of the South China Sea during transport by ship, because it hit a rock and sank.
