A White Jade Twin Handle Prunus And Bamboo Medallion Vase, Qianlong - Jiaqing Period (1736-1820)
A finely carved white jade vase each side with a central medallion to the body, at one side a branch of blossoming prunus with two lines of carved calligraphy. The other side with bamboo and another two lines of calligraphy. The globular body rises to a narrow neck, with a ruyi head and lappet boarder at the shoulder. The mouth of the vase with an extremely well carved boarder of archaistic scrolling chilong dragons. A further two chilong form the handles of this refined vase.
Qianlong - Jiaqing Period 1736 -1820
Accompanied by a later fitted wood stand.
Condition: There is a chip to side of the vases foot, see images.
Measures: 13.1 cm in height and 5.9 cm wide excluding the wood base.
