‘MEWA- Koma’
Description:
The MEWA KOMA is an ingeniously designed portable sewing machine from the 1940s, developed by Ernst Fischer for the VEB MEWA (production figures from 1948 to 1952 approx. 25,000 pieces). It has a fold-out sliding table, adjustable foot pressure, a built-in sewing light and a control via a knee lever. The stitch length can be infinitely set forward and back 4 mm. Packed in a sturdy and sleek wooden case, it combines perfect design and practical function in one.
