Primo Medievale Argento - Spilla fibula merovingia in argento dorato con Kerbschnitt - (1)
6th - 7th century AD

Merovingian silver gilded radiate-headed fibula / brooch with Kerbschnitt (Keill) technique decorations. Semi-circular headplate with three projecting knobs, body and long pointed foot plate decorated with geometric motifs.

Length: 48,9 mm
Width: 22,4 mm

Condition: good solid condition, complete with catchplate, pin missing, gilding in large parts still present. Signs of wear consistent with age and use, see images.

Shipping: registered and insured parcel.
Certificate of Authenticity available upon request (pdf-format).

Purchased by the current owner from a Dutch collection in 2019.
