Regal in his countenance, this Majapahit Royal pair exudes the rich artistry that reigned in Indonesia between the 12th and 14th centuries. During this period, King Hayam Wuruk succeeded in gradually uniting the whole archipelago under the name of Dwipantara. Nenny Lukhita replicates the graceful fashions of the times, which were influenced by Hindu trends. The handsome Royal pair is crafted by hand with a pule wood face and pinewood arms and legs. Their majestic costumes features batik prints, while their traditional i kuluk /i headdress and jewelry are crafted of copper. The prince keeps his pinewood i keris /i dagger on his back. Pinewood rods move the puppet, which rests on a wood stand.
