Great A-class Dress Jacket Uniform, size 36L , with a patch of the USAAF and the rank of private. The jacket is named to George P Hicks (see attached screenscot and name in jacket). He enlisted in 1942. The insignia is also early war and indicates the George P Hicks was a communication specialist i.e. aircraft radio operator. His personal details are added to the uniform (see attached photos). I havent done more research due to lack of time, but it would be very interesting to find out where he fought in WW2.
The jacket is complete with all its buttons and is also fitted with a ruptured duck insignia illustrating the fact that he did his duties accordingly and was honorfully discharged following the end of WW2. Jacket has a great patina, a real veteran jacket!, see photo's. Both pants and jacket are in nice condition given their age. The insignia doesnt glow under blacklight, nor the stitching, confirming that the insignia are original and have not been replaced since WW2.
Great and rare 100% original uniform set for your US WW2 collection!
