Marie Perrault (1874-1929) - Interieur met vrouw en meisje - Heeze
Olio su tela - Firmato a mano - Rond 1900

She was born in Detroit, Michigan (1872) went to the Netherlands (1905-1911) and mostly opted to paint Dutch children. Marie also made dolls made of fabric, and made a diorama for the Children's Museum in Detroit. She once had a studio in downtown Detroit. She married (1901) William P. Ulrich. The Detroit Art Museum had an art exhibition in October of 1911 featuring 35 of her paintings/sketches.

Marrie Perrault worked in Heeze (Noord-Brabant) of which these two works are a good example. The work was signed and entitled: Heeze. The Heezer school was an art movement at the beginning of the last century in which the artist captured the outdoors, especially agricultural families from this Brabant village on the canvas.

The painting is in good condition and comes from a private collection.
