Salampsu Masks are originally from east of the Kasai River situated between Congo and Angola. This mask was exhibited in cerimonies related to the society of warriors and initiation times, but also funerals.
This mask is characterized by its embedded incisions of the eyes and its nasal volume that widens dramatically towards a quadrangular mouth with incised teeth.
