Format: Mitsugiri-ban, 36.5 × 16.5 cm. With artist's seal Shotei, published by Watanabe Shozaburo. Post-earthquake print, pre-1936, ca. 1924-1935.
Night landscape with building and trees in the background and a plank bridge by a stream in the foreground, with three people making their way along the water's edge. Two passing along with an umbrella and one with a hat and straw coat, carrying a bundle tied to a pole over his shoulder. On the opposite bank, the windows of a tile-roofed building glow softly against the gray sky as rain slashes across the night landscape. Title in the left half of the sky.
Print in good condition. With fine bokashi shading.
