Wine bought in January 2011 to a retired wine distributor from Haro, La Rioja.
Stored in private cellar up to today.
"Claret" was one of the historical brands produced by Bodegas Franco-Españolas in the first third of the 20th century. The name was inspired by the "Bordeaux Claret" from the 19th century, a light and fresh wine that was extremely popular in those days.
There is no much information available about this wine. A very limited production was vinified in the course of the 1910's blending different vintages from 1905 to 1920. It was supposed to be bottled gradually in the course of the first half of the 20's. The vintage was grabbed in the base of the bottle, 5 and 26 (May 1926).
