Six lithographs with a table of contents in a half-cloth portfolio with a lithographed title on the front cover with a map of Naarden. Printed in an edition of 100 copies, commissioned by the Stichting Menno van Coehoorn. The plates are loose, making them perfect for framing.
Simon Moulijn (1866-1948) was a Dutch painter, draughtsman and graphic artist.
His oeuvre includes a large number of paintings, including ceiling and wall paintings, works in other techniques and 189 lithographs. His main theme was the landscape in many variations. He was also a lecturer at the Academy of Visual Arts and Technical Sciences in Rotterdam, co-organiser of large graphic art exhibitions and author of two books and many publications in magazines.
