The painting shows the view of Morcote on Lake Lugano in Switzerland,
with one of the most beautiful villages in Switzerland.
Randolf Wehn lived in Munich from 1911 to 1987.
He is an internationally traded German landscape and genre painter.
Many of his paintings hang in various German museums, ministries and town halls.
Randolf Wehn studied at the Academy in Munich with Professor Peter Kalman and later in Venice with Professor Belluzzi.
Wehn has been working as a freelance artist in Munich since 1936. For his artistic works he travelled a lot through Switzerland, Austria and Italy, as many of his paintings show. Typical was his very pasty way of painting.
