Here is a work of art after the work of Sculptor Carrier.
A very nice after casting of the original
It is a sculpture of a man with a monkey on his shoulders.
You could call it an animal tamer at the time.
Everything about this sculpture is made with love.
The body has many beautiful contours.
And many other beautiful large and small details, see the pictures for that.
The monkey was also made in proportion.
And makes it a more playful item.
And unlike the other sculptures of this master.
It is unlikely that you will find another one like this.
Very collectable and sought-after item.
In top condition.
The original was made around 1850/1830
Below who is this master sculptor.
And who created the Original Artwork.
The French sculptor Carrier-Belleuse, actually Albert-Ernest Carrier-Belleuse, or also Carrier de Belleuse, was born in 1824 in Anizy-le-Château in France and died in Sèvres in 1887. Carrier-Belleuse was one of the most famous French sculptors of romanticism. In the mid-19th century he worked in England, at Mintons, for a while.
See all photos for a nice and good impression.
