Beautiful colour etchings commissioned by Valerius de Saedeleer, engraved by Armand Apol.
The etching is in a new edition and is also beautifully framed but there are some scratches on the frame that are not really intrusive.
The etching was signed in the plate by Valerius de Saedeleer and numbered outside the plate and signed in pencil by Armand Apol.
Apol is a painter and engraver of Belgian nationality.
Author of landscapes and sea views. He was best known for his river scenes and canals.
Studied from 1891-1901 at the royal academy of fine arts of Brussels in Constant Montald.
From 1901 onwards, the Sillon group has been participating in the events in Brussels.
Stayed in Switzerland.
Specialised as an extafortist in the transposition by etching canvases of other artists.
His painting is characterised by a tendency towards Figuration, evolving into Luminism, strongly influenced by Fauvism. These etchings were printed in the studio of Roger Hebbelinck (Brussels, 1912).
Will be carefully sent with track and trace.
