2 Chinese porcelain Kangxi period dishes, both marked – China - ca. 1700
On offer are 2 very good Chinese porcelain deep dishes with a scalloped rim and executed in lobed form. They both have a fine quality symbolic decoration of flowering branches and birds and insects grouped together originating from a Taihu rock. At the rim a paneled decoration of continuous flowering branches and birds. Both marked at the back with a symbol mark “yu” (jade), mark for good quality porcelain. Both dishes are made of finest creamy white porcelain, and thinly potted (translucent) all typical of good Kangxi period porcelain. Hard to find!
Condition: Both dishes are in good condition; one dishes only has some minor rimfrits, one dishes has a superficial small hairline barely visible, and only some very small rimfrits. Further no damage, no restoration!
Size: both measuring about 13cm across and 2cm in height.
Will be packed very well and shipped with registered track/trace with insurance.
