Pendule francese - PH.Mourey - Marmo, Spelter - Seconda metà del 19° secolo
This restored and well-working French mantel clock was made by sculptor PH. Mourey. The year on the clock is 1878. Mourey worked for the famous timepiece maker Japy Frères. A halberdier can be seen on the clock and a family crest with lions. A knight on horseback can be seen at the bottom, flanked by two lions.
A crack in the marble has been restored, this can be seen on the photo. The timepiece is numbered and the ring around the dial has the same number. There is also a name stamp on this ring with probably the abbreviation A. N. or A. IV. This is a 14-day timepiece with a striking mechanism with a single bell, every hour and half hour.
The clock will be packaged with the utmost care and shipped by registered post.
