Movado Grand Prix - pocket watch NO RESERVE PRICE - Uomo - 1901-1949

Special, hard to find Swiss Movado Grand Prix pocket watch from 1910 The pocket watch is in neat condition and keeps time well. It has normal signs of wear for its age, and has a bright white dial. The richly tooled movement is a Moser movement with 15 jewels, 4 adjustments. Case material: steel / nickel-plated The diameter is approx. 48 mm. The name Movado meant quality, and met with the highest expectations. Special are the inscriptions on the inner lid "Expositions Universelles, Paris 1900, Liege 1905, GRAND PRIX, Avec Felicitations du Jury, Bruxelles 1910" which clearly reflected this. Movado is a Swiss watchmaker that is known worldwide for its Museum Watch. Designed in 1947, by artist Nathan George Horwitt, influenced by Bauhaus, the dial has a very simple design defined by a single dot on the 12, which symbolises the sun at 12 o'clock. It was first made by Vacheron & Constantin - Le Coultre Watches, Inc., and later produced by Movado. This watch will be sent by registered and insured post.
