Henk van Leeuwen was born in 1890 to Ter Aar and died in 1972 in Voorburg. Henk van Leeuwen painted, drew, etched, painted with watercolours and lithographed a variety of subjects. The Hague school and the Barbizon had much influence on his work. Henk van Leeuwen studied at the Hague Academy and at the Académie Colarossi and the Ecole Julian in Paris.
The offered work shows a beautiful representation of the interior of a chapel in Bruges.
Condition: overall in good condition. Has slight craquelure.
Frame: framed in a wooden silver-coloured frame.
Signed in the lower right.
