So, Nicolaas Riegen knew what he wanted at a young age. And successfully. The sea, the air and the ships were his element. He was born in the Romantic period and remained loyal to this style all his life.
We see the sea against a low horizon. The sun plays with a beautiful cloud deck. The ship at the front lies in a splendid light beam. Through the wild sea, the painting gets dynamic.
The frame is made of mahogany wood.
Painting and frame are in good condition.
Shipping only in the Netherlands, costs for this amount to 25 euros.
Pick up is, of course, also possible.
