Heico Germany was renowned for its plastic mood lamps with shapes of mushrooms, animals, Disney characters, etc.
Always of good quality and made in Germany.
Mid 2016, the company sold the remainder of the commercial stock.
A number of stores still have stock, so for the time being some of the standard models (especially the mushrooms) will remain available.
However, this has not been the case for a long time with this wonderful hippopotamus. Special collector's item for hippopotamus lovers, including Moomin fans.
Where most Heico animal lamps are represented quite life-like, for this hippopotamus a more cartoon-like pose and action was chosen: it is sitting upright and eating a biscuit.
Signed on the bottom by the press with additional stickers.
