Qashqai nomads from southern Persia.
Moj is the Farsi word for wave.
These kilims are given this name by the Qashqai nomads because of the zigzag pattern in the fabric.
On a loom however, a small and narrow one that could easily be transported on a camel.
Much thicker and heavier than a regular kilim.
It also has a front side to be used face up, and a different back.
These were, and still are, prestige items for these nomads.
Rare kilim, made on a loom like all kilims, but with a very unique technique.

Made on a narrow loom, always in 2 parts, and then sewn together.
The colour gradients you can see were created by using the special weaving technique.
