Antique ring in 585 / 14 kt yellow gold with large oval amethyst solitaire of 5.0 ct. The powerful violet, eye-clean stone is set in a decorative oval claw setting. The prongs extend downwards like a star forming bands, which creates a basket-like ring head.
The ring is in an excellent condition.
Size: 58/18.5 mm - adjustable by us for €25 in a range of +/- 3 sizes

I opened disput, operators twice asked to make photos.. disput was for 22 days, a have send photo on 22, and recieved reply that I am late! But I opened this disput from the day I received the item.. i asked to make full refund and take this ring or make refund 250 eur. Disput was closed , I didn’t receive anything ! So be carefully while bidding! In this cases buyer must be protected ! And automatically asked to send it back to the experts .. not making picture and if somebody doesn’t like that, close disputes! We are buyers, we spend money here and must have protection! My every purchase here was every time good on Catawiki, I am responsible and fast . Buyer is not appreciated here.
Any damage even its small or big must be written in description!

neither your pictures nor our numerous photos could clearly reveal any serious damage in the ring. Catawiki makes the rules, that in any dispute you have to sent clearly informative photos and/or a written expertise by a jeweller within a defined period of time. This is not our rule. You did not do so in time.
Please bear in mind that you have bought an antique ring in exquisite condition well below its actual market value, which had been expert estimated at around 1.000 Euros. So there would even be substantial space for a small repair, if necessary.
Your suggestion of a 250 € refund, however, seemed absolutely unreasonable for the suspected damage. It would have pushed the item well below our purchase price. Which we of course cannot and will not agree with in any case.
Catawiki checked all our close-up photos and the images you sent them and couldn't find any 'serious damage' either. So they asked you to submit an expertise.
