Emmerico Hartwik Nunes (born 1888, Lisbon)
Famous Portuguese cartoonist, painter, illustrator and caricaturist. Studied at the Lisbon Academy of Arts and continued in Paris, other study trips to England, the Netherlands and Belgium followed.
From 1912 to 1928, he worked for the “Meggendorfer Blätter” and the “Fliegende Blätter”. With Mauder and Seewald, he was one of the busiest illustrators.
You are bidding on a lot consisting of a picture series (4 pieces). Original copies in good condition with very slight traces of wear.
The picture series is protected from damage by a cardboard envelope.
The back of the pieces is marked with the publisher’s stamp of the “Meggendorfer Blätter” and the handwritten numbers 1-4.
