Beautiful lithograph by Don Clarke. Printed on high quality Matthieu Litho Switzerland paper with watermark. Professionally framed.
Don Clarke (1932-Birmingham) worked as an illustrator after graduating. In 1956, he began working in Rome as an art restorer. In 1972, he settled in Spain, where he developed as a full-time painter. The female figure is central to his work. By placing these, usually naked, in unusual situations and environments, Clarke creates a mysterious and mystical atmosphere. His work has been exhibited in Artfair in London, KunstRai in Amsterdam, Art Basel, Pan Amsterdam, and Lineart in Ghent.
Don Clarke died in 2012 in his beloved home town of Mijas in Spain.
